in 1892 to the Pittsburgh family of Alice Scott and Thomas E. Renton
Sr. along with her brother
Tom Jr. and sister Theodora Renton. Lucy married James Albert
Grant
Sr., an executive who rose quickly in the operations of William
Randolph
Hearst helping build one of the first media conglomerates. Moving
the family from Pittsburgh,
PA to Hollywood CA, as the Hearst
operations grew, the family continued to live in California in the
years
since. Lucy died tragically in 1974 at the age of 92, in a home
invasion/murder that has never been solved.
