Keep in mind that a lot of these are not in print any more so if you would like to order something, use the cAtAlOg. It's interesting that we have sold well over a thousand 'Homaid' cassettes (thanks to Josh, Lori and Val). In the early days we had no clue that these releases would continue or catch on, so no official information or records were collected in the beginning and we somehow lost track of a lot of it. Here's what we can remember and we thank all the people who took part of us home with them.

Hi, my name is Brian Hall. A few years ago I was playing a solo gig at Drowsy Poet, a coffee house in Lynchburg, Virginia that has been very good to me. A girl from California who was currently going to the University Of Virginia asked me during the show if I had any music out and availble and I did not at the time. Her name was Larissa. It meant so much to me that someone would possibly want to take some of the music home with them. It was such a good feeling and I can still remember the sound of her voice. I decided to put some stuff on cassette that I had recorded on the 4 track and carry it around with me. Well, I would usually make one copy at a time so almost every tape was different with different art work and song orders. I got request for Compact Disc a lot. Some people did not like or prefer cassettes. So I decided to put together a collection for an official album that became Forgotten Sundays and Outside Records 1. It was recorded pretty much in my bedroom and recorded on still my favorite, the 4-track, and released in 1995. All along I kept releasing the cassettes to, often live shows of me solo, or the bands I was in, Gypsy Moon and Waxing Moon Hats. Sometimes I would make up random numbers and put on them but I later realized that I had sold a lot of them and they were still selling so I thought I would try to put a little order to it all and these became Outside Records Homaid releases. So from then on I put numbers on them and documented this and came up with pretty consistent art work for each release. Along the way, I made some friends who also played and have been lucky enough through Outside Records to share their music with the world (or at least the surrounding counties) as well. I really had no idea this would catch on but I'm very thankful that this many people decided to take part of us home with them. These are tokens of time that remind me of many moments with friends. I sure hope you enjoy listening. Many people have come and gone since that night at the Drowsy Poet. I miss you all and think of you often.
