The Omaha Blues Society Home Page made its debut on September 8, 1998! Do you like what you see? Please send any hints or suggestions to Laker09@aol.com. I want to make this home page as helpful and innovative as possible.

From The President
(BluesNotes, Sept 1998)
The 1998 Blues Cruise on the Belle riverboat, Sunday, September 20, from 3-6 pm will rock your socks. Don't miss it, and don't be late.
Homer's has graciously offered to sell tickets to the Blues Cruise for us, so you can tell your friends they can pick them up there at all Homer's locations through Thursday, September 17th.
Rick Galusha, who works at Homer's, also dj's a blues radio show called P.S. Blues. It's on Monday evenings, 9 pm to midnight, on the River, 89.7 on your FM dial, and features new releases as well as classics. Give it a listen!
Any ideas for the October meeting/party? The Belle will be September's party, minus the meeting.
Remember to get off your heinie and spend a couple of hours listening to some great blues in one of our local bars. The music calendar inside will point you in the right direction.
Speaking of calendars, please let me know what you think of the new calendar layout. We are now listing music by the date, by the bar, and by the band. These three ways should make it easy for you to plan your busy schedule around some excellent music. I need to know if this expanding listing is useful, or just a waste of space. Record your feelings on our BLUESLINE, 932-5599, or harass me at home.
I'm not sure why, but he blues just makes me feel good.
