Drag racing is one of the world's most popular motorsports, it's fast, fun and has the most powerful cars in the world. In Australia It has the highest personal spectator rate with well over a million people compared to Indy or F1 which only has about 200,000 people per year. In the US it is an absolutely huge sport with nearly 5 times the amount of racers than Australia, with in some cases 32 car fields for Pro Stock and Top Fuel while Australia only usually has 7 or 8. But we {Australia} are hopefully going to get a 16 car field for Pro Stock, they have the cars but not the turn out in most cases.
As lots of people would already know Cory Mac got a 321 Mph pass a while back, the NHRA think that is too fast for their safety so they are thinking of ways to "slow" them down,so what they are think ing of doing is setting speed limit at 325 mph and maybe going to lower the engine capacity to 450 cubes instead of 500, but give them 3 or 4 years and they'll be getting 290s and 300s again, what are they gonna do then make 'em have smaller wheels so they don't make as much ground. Australia wont have to do that for another couple of years as we are nowhere near that, we haven't even cracked a 300 mph pass yet and it's taken America 4 years to get from 300 to 321, and they are advancing 3 times faster than us.
