IMPORTANT!!

I was reading just today that there are 16,000,000 diabetic/neuropathic victims in the USA alone, and 1/8th of them will eventually have one toe, foot, lower leg amputated, and within five years, another amputation. I wasn't too pleased to read that! That's 2,000,000 people. and I could be one of them. (but at least I have the insoles). Most of these amputations will start with a foot injury that gets infected.

Now that injury does NOT have to start with a PUNCTURE, but just a little invasion of the skin that could be caused by an imperfection of the sole of the shoe itself. That is especially important to people like me with severe Neuropathy, but VERY important to others as well. A lot of people think they will never encounter a foot injury or hazard, so they feel safe.

They should be alerted to the danger of ANY tiny little abrasion in the sole of the foot (that you won't see unless you look for it daily) and with the bacteria/moisture problem in the feet, can cause a major problem with infection that could lead to amputation.

If someone never had a foot puncture, and is not exposed to a dangerous work area, they may feel they are not at risk. Please consider the above and pass on to your friends.

Sincerely,

John August
