Six baseball/softball fields were designed and, beginning in the spring of 1997 two were used for a 6-12 year old girls' slow pitch softball league.
A 14 and under fast pitch league was played on these fields and last fall the Lindsay High School fast pitch softball team played their games at the Griffith Sports Complex. There were also three softball tournaments hosted by the complex.
There is still a large amount of work needed to complete all six fields. One important goal for 1998 is to install lights on at least two of the fields.
