Blueberry Plants - Blueberry Bushes

PICTURES TAKEN JUNE 24, 1999

This bush is a three year old container grown plant that we use for a demonstration plant when we are scheduled to speak or set up a booth at various agricultural functions.

I would like to point out that at three years old this bush is having a hard time, the roots on a blueberry bush do not go very deep, only 18 to 24 inches on average, they are supposed to spread out up to 6 feet across, in a pot such as this the root system in being forced into an unnatural shape so we get a lot of leaf and cane die off. This bush will have to be planted in the field this fall or it may likely die.
