Education

At Indian Trails our educational program offers more to the students than what is found in the private institutions. Think of us first. Our goals here are for the students to meet their highest potential and succeed in a structured, but loving, environment.

Education is our number on priority, we offer one on one tutoring, graduation assistance, summer school to assist the student in accumulating the necessary credits in order to graduate, and private schooling if desired.

Vice principal Chris Lynch, M.S. in educational administration at North Central High School, is a board member of Kids Education and Kare. She is ready to assist the girls in their educational needs. The board of directors and advisory committee establishes and maintains programs for teenage girls to learn in a controlled learning environment and to succeed in elementery, middle, high school, and on to a college education. We are also fortunate to be able to offer a private Traditional Catholic school with grade size averaging 8-10 children. Kids Education and Kare is a non-profit organization made up of special people, directors, officers, and the advisory board who donate their time and expertise to assure the best programs for the girls enrolled at Indian Trails. The goal at Indian Trails is to give the girls the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential, and return home with their parents.

Running Start

Through the Running Start porgram, high school juniors and seniors are able to earn high school credits while taking tuition free college classes. Created by the Washington State Legislature in 1990, Running Start is available to academically qualified students at participating high schools. Students participating in Running Start appreciate the academic opportunities provided by the program. The selection of classes at community and technical colleges are often much more extensive than those available at public high schools. Students also like the more mature environment of a college campus. The success of Running Start has created new challenges for high schools and colleges. Some high schools find that their own advanced placement classes have difficulty filling because students are using Running Start as an alternative. In addition, basic education funds move from high schools to colleges when students participate in Running Start.
