LET'S GET FUNNY!
2005 Cartoon Contest
DEADLINE: March 15, 2005.OPEN TO ALL — especially amateurs. NO FEE or obligation.
SINGLE PANELS ONLY! Any size, on 8½x11 page. May be folded to fit #10 envelope. Black ink or dark pencil.
Put your name & address on each page, front or back.
Submit up to five toons. NONE WILL BE RETURNED, photo-copies O.K.
Cartoons will be scanned and sized to fit. REMEMBER, lines and lettering become thinner when reduced. Too thin or pale may disappear.
Cartoons will be judged by an independent panel, primarily on FUNNINESS and ORIGINALITY. The artwork is secondary.
We will accept e-mail cartoons, but please no attachments.Send to:

Fillers include: Gags, anecdotes, stories, not over 200 words.
NOTHING RETURNED - LSASE or e-mail address for acknowledgment.
Be as professional as possible (see next column).
PAYMENT for winning entry ONLY! Include permission to print without pay (optional).
Decision of the judges is final!

There is never a fee or obligation to enter our contests and your contributions to the following departmentsare welcome. PLEASE OBSERVE OUR NEW POLICY:
No payment except to contest winners. You will be required to give us permission to publish one time, with or without payment. DEADLINES: We must have your agreement before we go to press. If late for one issue, the entry will be considered for the following issue.
ALL OTHER RIGHTS REMAIN WITH AUTHOR
HUMOR
We can use jokes, anecdotes, epigrams, cartoons, etc. Original items preferred, but we can use anything that is funny enough and in the public domain.
GOOD OLD DAYS
Reminiscences, light or humorous.
CARTOONS
Please submit photocopies that we can keep for future consideration, or enclose SASE with adequate postage for immediate return if not purchased. We can use single panel toons only. Amateurs and kids welcome.
MISCELLANY
Epigrams, posters, puzzles, riddles, recipes, bumper stickers, or your own ideas.
