The Fanfare Brass Quartet

About Nick Zadrozny
French Horn

Nick plays French Horn in the Fanfare Brass Quartet, and has been playing since January of 1998. His first instrument was Trumpet, which he started playing in the elementary school band taught by Mr. Buskirk during fifth grade. The next year he started Trombone, and played Trumpet in the combined elemetary school advanced band, which is where he met Anna Sorrels.

While in seventh grade Nick played Trumpet in the Middle School Advanced band sitting third chair, with Anna on second and Audrey sitting first chair. The teacher of that class is Mr. Russel Moreau, who teaches all of the middle and high school band classes. That year was also Nick's first year in marching band (shhh! junior highers weren't allowed in!) which is where he met most of his current friends, and also joined the Jazz Band. In second semester, Nick also joined beginning band and learned French Horn. Over the summer he attended the California Music Academy junior high camp, which is a one week music camp at CSU Fullerton playing trumpet. The next school year, Nick was again needed in the marching band, but this time on Baritone, which is how he met Scott. So he joined beginning band and learned Baritone, and in second semester he joined advanced middle school band playing tuba and playing French Horn in beginning band. That year in Jazz band, Nick played first Trombone in the bottom Jazz band.

Over the summer, he again went to CMA for the High School two week camp and played Baritone in the bottom band. This year as a freshman, Nick marched Tuba first semester (now it's legal) and plays Franch Horn in the top band at Ramona High School sitting first chair.
