This contract made by and between The Double-D Ranch and_____________________________(purchaser) for the purpose of breeding the mare_________________________, registration no.________________to the stallion, GINGERS POCO KING for the 2001 breeding season.

FEES:
A non-refundable booking fee of $50 is due at the signing of this contract. This fee is deductible from the Stallion Service Fee of $400.

RESERVATION FOR BREEDING:
Mare owner requests following month for breeding. ____________________

DAILY BOARD:
For each day the mare is in the Ranch's care, owner shall pay Ranch the following rates per day for board: $5/day for mare only or $6/day for mare and foal. All fees including entire breeding fee, boarding fees, and veterinarian fees must be paid in full prior to owner picking up the mare.

VETERINARIAN SERVICES:
Owner shall pay Ranch for all veterinarian services and supplies provided to the mare and any foal by her side, that Ranch deems necessary for the reasonable care of the animals, and as to the mare, which are usual and accustomed in the breeding of horses. All vet bills are billed on a monthly basis and payment shall be made within 15 days of the billing date, or before the animals are picked up -- whichever date is earlier.

RANCH/OWNER LIABILITY LIMITED:
Ranch shall not be responsible for any disease, injury, or illness to the mare or foal by her side. Owner will likewise not be responsible for any disease, injury or illness to the stallion or other mares at the ranch.

DISPOSITION OF MARE:
Owner represents, warrants and guarantees to Ranch that the mare is halter broke and gentle, and has no vices such as stall kicking, cribbing, weaving or the like, except those specifically listed as follows:

CONDITION OF ANIMALS:
Owner warrants and represents to Ranch that when the mare and any foal by her side are delivered to the Ranch at any time, that they will be in good and sound condition, and free from any sickness, illness, injury or disease.

VACCINATION/WORMING RECORDS:
Upon delivery of the mare to the Ranch for the first time, owner shall give Ranch copies of all vaccination records of any animal delivered, and a list of worming methods and dates. The Ranch may provide whatever vaccinations and deworming it deems necessary, and charge these expenses to owner as vet bills.

COGGINS TEST:
Upon delivery of the mare, owner shall provide Ranch with a true copy of a current, negative coggins test.

SHOE REMOVAL:
The mare shall be delivered to Ranch with its shoes removed, or Ranch may remove them at mare owner's expense.

RETURN OF SERVICE:
Mare owner shall have the right of return for Stallion's Service in the next breeding season when:
       A) Mare does not settle during present breeding season.
       B) Mare is examined in foal but becomes barren during gestation.
       C) Mare produces a live foal that is unable to stand and nurse, and subsequently dies.
In all cases, a veterinary certificate will be required, which shall affirm that the mare was properly cared for during gestation.
The farm's timely receipt of the required veterinary certificate is a precedent to any right of return. A negative intrauterine culture is required prior to mare's return for service. Mare owner will be responsible for all applicable breeding expenses named in this contract (mare care, vet expenses, etc) minus breeding fee.

COLOR FOAL GUARANTEE:
The Double-D Ranch guarantees the foal to be a color foal, meaning ANY color other than chestnut or sorrel by AQHA definition. Should the foal be deemed sorrel or chestnut after inspection by the Double-D Ranch, the mare owner will be entitled to a re-breeding of same mare. Re-breeding must be done the following year or it will be forfeited. No further color guarantees will be made or implied with the re-breeding. Mare owner will be responsible for all applicable breeding expenses named in this contract (mare care, vet expenses, etc) minus breeding fee in the case of a rebreed.

REFUND OF FEES:
This contract shall be null and void and the mare owner shall be entitled to a refund of Stallion Service Fee if the Stallion should die or become unfit for service prior to servicing the mare in the present breeding season.

BREEDER'S CERTIFICATE:
A breeder's certificate will be issued upon birth of live foal after mare owner sends pictures of new foal to the Double-D Ranch.

NON-ASSIGNMENT:
This contract cannot be assigned or transferred by Mare owner. If the mare is sold or transferred after having been serviced by the Stallion, there shall be no right of return to the Stallion without the express written permission of Stallion owner.
This contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.

THIS IS A BINDING CONTRACT ON BOTH PARTIES,  SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED.
