Ever hear the tip to only make one offer at a time?
Good Tip with a Twist
It is good advice to focus on one offer at a time. Some refer to that as finding your niche. But defining that one thing often causes much anguish. What if the potential offer misses the target?
Let us suggest looking at how you can define the "one" focus. Yet, in a subtle way broaden your appeal to a multitude of potential customers or perhaps strike a responsive feeling in the potential customer you are dealing with at any particular moment.
Look at what people want or desire. Remember you are selling a benefit to the customer.
An easy solution is to look at holidays. Take Valentine Day or July 4th, which is soon upon us. A person in business could focus on one item such as a decorative heart, diamond or an eagle. OR, the holiday or birthday or anniversary presents the business person with a grand opportunity to group items into a kit or shopping basket full of products. Now the singular focus is still there - not on an individual product - but on one special day.DOTDON Specialty Wholesale has several individual items that could serve as individual gifts at any time of the year, but thinking "outside the box" brings them together under the one theme or focus of Valentine's Day, for example.
See for yourself, the items here listed have a retail value over $160.00 and DOTDON business partners can obtain all in one Valentine Kit for only $72.00. (Items subject to availability. Substitution with comparable item.)

See the approach. Think of the focus, for our current example, Valentine's Day, and brainstorm. No item is strictly Valentine's Day, but is clearly associated with the emotion of the day. There is love, heart, Mom, rose.
Get a sheet of paper and do it for yourself. Be creative. It's smart marketing. You'll surprise yourself.
Oh, by the way, July 4th 2002 is nearly here. What are your ideas? Patriotic? Eagle? Picnic? Other? Success can be yours.
