Our immediate Goal is to start racing the Florida season opener in February with the ASCS. We intend to run the complete series and contend for the National Championship.
Don Dawson Sr.
Don Dawson Sr. was born and raised on a ranch in Kaycee, WY. (thus the nickname the Wyoming Cowboy). He played on the state championship basketball team in high school and left the ranch after graduation to pursue a career in aviation. He served in Viet Nam and has been a helicopter pilot during the times that he ins't racing Sprint Cars.
Don Dawson II
Don Dawson II has been around Sprint Cars since birth (his mother went into labor at a race track) when his dad flipped out of the joint in September of 1975. All he has ever wanted in life was to own and drive Sprint Cars. He played football and baseball at Davis High School in Modesto, CA and learned the values of being a team player in order to have a winning team. He took over the company in 1991.
Steve had a background in engineering and has been building racing engines for over thirty years. Some of his early discoveries are just now befinning to show up in the racing world. He has been involved in various types of racing, but his heart has always been with the thunder of the sprint cars on dirt tracks accross America. He is constantly coming up with new ideas to get more out of the small block Chevy engine.
