MATERIAL
Ch = Chain INSTRUCTIONS ROUND 1 - Make a chain of 4, join, 3 Ch, 1 Sg C, into ring, 3 Ch, 1 Sg C, repeat 4 times, or until you have 6 spaces. ROUND 2 - 3 Ch, 1 Sg C over tirst 3 Ch made in previous row, 1 Sg C into the Sg C, 3 Ch, 1 Sg C over 3 Ch, 1 Sg C into Sg C, 3 Ch, 1 Sg C over 3 Ch, 1 Sg C into Sg C. Repeat all around (don't join, just work around the circle). ROUND 3 - 3 Ch, * 1 Sg C over 3 Ch of previous row, 2 Sg C over the 2 Sg C, 3 Ch. * Repeat all around. ROUND 4 - 3 Ch. * 1 Sg C over 3 Ch in previous row, 3 Sg C over 3 Sg C, 3 Ch. * Repeat these rows until you have 24 rows, or 24 Sg C in each section. ROUND 25 - 3 Ch. * 1 Sg C over centre of 3 Ch, 3 Ch, skip 1 Sg C and make 23 Sg C into remaining 23 Sg C, 3 Ch. * Repeat all around. ROUND 26 - 3 Ch. * 1 Sg C over centre of 3 Ch in previous row, 3 Ch, 1 Sg C over next 3 Ch, 3 Ch, skip 1 Sg C, make 22 single into 22 Sg C, * Repeat these rows until the star in centre is finished, or until you have 24 spaces of 3 Ch each. To make the picot edge around doylie, make * 4 Sg C into first space, 4 Sg C into next space, 4 Sg C into next 2 Sg C up to centre of fourth space, 5 Ch, turn, 1 Sl C into eighth Sg C just made, 5 Ch, 1 Sl C into first Sg C, turn, make 8 Sg C over first 5 Ch, 4 Sg C up to centre over next 5 Ch, 5 Ch, turn, 1 Sg C into centre of Sg C, turn, 4 Sg C over 5 Ch, 3 Ch, for picot, 4 Sg C over rest of 5 Ch, 4 Sg C over next unfinished loop, 2 Sg C into same loop where edge started, 4 Sg C over each of next three loops, 2 Sg C into fourth loop, 5 Ch, turn, 1 Sl C into 8 Sg C, 5 Ch, 1 Sl C into first Sg C made, turn, 8 Sg C over last loop made, 4 Sg C over next 5 Ch, turn, 1 Sl C into centre of 8 Sg C. just made, turn, 4 Sg C, 3 Ch for picot, 4 Sg C more over same loop, 4 Sg C over unfinished loop, 2 Sg C. * Repeat all around and finish neatly.
