Accommodation is in 1 of our 3 fully self contained units
either with all meals provided or self-catering.
BACKPACKER accommodation is also available. We also cater for large groups such as tramping clubs or other special interest groups of up to 16 people.
Near-by Whirinaki River abounds with
RAINBOW & BROWN TROUT. Other local streams
also offer good fishing. The fishing season here is from
October to July with all year round fishing at nearby lakes.
Deer & Wild Pigs roam the forest and can be
hunted all year round. Night shooting of opossums is an
exciting experience for the younger visitor.
HORSE
TREKKING on willing horses through scenic forest and
river flats with an experienced guide. Horses to suit both
novice or experienced riders. Overnight treks can also
be arranged.
HIKERS can hike a well marked network
of tracks which range from well formed family tracks to
others more suited to the fit, experienced hiker.
WHIRINAKI FOREST is ideally suited to botanical,
historical and ornithological pursuits as well as a
"MECCA" for photographers and artists.
