1. Medicare abroad is prohibitively expensive. It is most prudent to cover risk of sickness and injuries before travelling overseas. Following facilities are available ex India:-
(b) Overseas Mediclaim Policy for employment and studies - OMP (E&S). Insurance is compulsory for students going abroad and it costs a lot more there. Students can cover themselves and their families far more comprehensively and economically ex India. Download OMP (E&S) Proposal Form in PDF format.
(c) Frequent traveler's policy (CFT), provides annual cover to company executives, business persons and their employees who have to make frequent trips at short notice. They can make any number of trips totaling up to 180 days in a year, each trip normally not exceeding one month. Facility is extended to spouse as well. Same proposal form as for OMP (B&H) is to be used.
