Edna Nation is the wife of Ronald O. Nation, the mother of three children: Cheryl, Greg, and Doug and grandmother of five. Born into a minister's family, the eldest of twelve, she learned early the importance of the work ethic.
Mrs. Nation holds several degrees, magna cum laude, from three colleges
Junior College, Senatobia, Mississippi, Associate of Arts; Northeast Louisiana State University, Monroe Louisiana, Bachelor of Arts; Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana, Master of Education, with a minor in art and an emphasis in psychology. She completed postgraduate work at Northwestern State University where she placed emphasis upon education, teaching reading, administration of schools. She also studied writing with the Institute of Children's Literature, Redding, child psychology in Connecticut, and with Christian Writing Institute, Wheaton, Illinois.
Edna Nation is the author of Emotional Healing, Caring Enough to Discipline, More than a Fig Leaf, Joyce, co-author of Total Teaching and of numerous stories, features, articles, and chapters. She is actively involved with WORD AFLAME PUBLICATIONS, serving as Primary Editor for church school literature, grades three through four, since March 1968.Edna enjoys conducting in-depth teacher training seminars, on such subjects as "Developing and Maintaining Discipline in the Classroom", "Teaching Values to Children", "The Teacher's Philosophy" and "The Teacher-Learner Process."
