HUNTING IN BULGARIA

We are very pleased to offer you a unique hunting adventure in a country famous for its highly valued game, scenery and climate. Smith organizes expeditions of three to seven or more hunting days for a variety of Bulgarian game. We may also provide access to two or more hunting grounds to ensure that you obtain the quality of trophies and/or the species you desire.

The Republic of Bulgaria extends over an area of 110,911 sq. Km and is situated on the Balkan Peninsula of Southeastern Europe. The Balkan Range divides the country into Northern and Southern regions. Hunting conditions range from sub-alpine in the mountains, woodland in the Danube valley, to the exotic Black Sea Coast. Bulgaria has more than 200 hunting grounds that provide great quality and variety of game in natural conditions

ACCOMMODATION

All lodge accommodations are located in the forest of each of the hunting estates. These facilities have three to ten double rooms, single rooms and apartments. Each room has its own bath to ensure your comfort and privacy.

Package Tour Rates Include:

Organization of the hunting trip
Hunting License
Hunting Guide 1:1 for big game and 1:2 for small game
Rifle License for importing hunter’s rifle in Bulgaria
You will be met at the Sofia Airport by an interpreter who will remain with you throughout your hunting trip
Assistance during customs checks
All in-Country transportation
Accommodation in double rooms (additional payment for a single room or apartment) and full board

Soft drinks and Bulgarian beer
Jeep for the hunting trip (one vehicle per two hunters)
Process of trophies
Evaluation of trophies by the State Commission
Custom Taxes for exporting trophies
Transport of trophies to Sofia Airport or to the airport of departure and assistance in exporting trophies from Bulgaria
Taxes for issuing a veterinarian certificate for exporting the trophies and the skins out of Bulgaria
Taxes for issuing a veterinarian certificate for importing the trophies and the skins in the hunters’ country

Booking

We recommend that your booking is completed at least eighty to ninety days prior to your preferred hunting dates to ensure that we can offer you the hunt of a lifetime. For some species and for some periods the recommended by us period is at least six or seven months.

Interested hunters and hunting agencies are encouraged to call for additional information. We enjoy discussing the aspects of each of our services with you on a one to one basis. Price-lists are available upon request. Most of our clients prefer confidentially so we have the permission to give you just a few contact names and addresses.
