SHELTER NEWS BY JOY AND TESSIE:
We now offer boarding of cats and dogs. Your animal will be walked daily and socialized. They must have current DHLP-P & Rabies update. They must also have Bordetella which can be given at the shelter at a cost of $8.00. We are also offering bathing and limited grooming. Please call for information and cost..775-7477.
We invite all to come out and ssee our state of the art, educational bright building and all our happy animals ready for new homes.
We need volunteers to help at the shelter. Our budget allows for one full time and one part time employee so we have to depend on volunteers to help. COme out and give it a try, I'm sure you'll feel good about helping with our furry freinds.
We have had field trips to the shelter from Bluff City School, and also the Girl Scouts of Barbour County.
To get to the shelter, take Clayton Hwy approx 9 miles. Watch for the landfill sign on the right, and then turn left onto to the road leading to the landfill, we are located across from the landfill. If you plan to turn in a pet, there is a fee of $15.00, the pet must be in good health, not pregnant and must have had rabies shot.

MICRO CHIPPING Micro Chipping available for a fee of $20.00. A sure way of finding your pet through micro identification.

The shelter is now accepting pets for boarding. Cost is $5 per dog, and $4 per cat per day. We ask that the owner supply the food for their pet. Pets will be exercised and socialized daily. All pets must have proof of rabies and DHLP-P vaccinations.
We still need volunteers and volunteer training is available upon
request. If you enjoy walking dogs, playing with kittens or don't mind
cleaning, we would love to hear from you. We would appreciate
as little or as much time as you have to give and the animals will love
you for it!
