Damp misty air, street lights, and yellow leaves make autumn nights a unique time to take photographs. A familiar place like my backyard becomes sinister and foreboding on these dark, cloudy nights. When the air is heavy with damp and the trees and ground are covered with yellow leaves you get an extra dose of glistening golden goodness when lit by street lights. The abundance of little light sources and mist gives an even light to the environment with little indistinct shadows on the ground. It's especially fun to go out after a rain and notice the reflections on the street.
