He grinned, his anticipation peaking by the second. His body kneeled above her, his eyes gazing over the pure white lingerie that clung to her curvaceous body. "I'm gonna eat you up," he purred.

She flinched at his words, not knowing what to expect.

He took note of this, not sure what to make of it. "Somethin' wrong?" he questioned with suspicion.

Her eyes popped open. "N...nothing's wrong," she replied hesitantly.

"You're still afraid," he soothed.

Her breathing became rapid as she felt like the walls were closing in on her. She couldn't take it anymore. Bolting up, she said the first thing that came to mind. "I lied to you!"

His face clouded with confusion. "What are you talkin' about?"

"I have no clue what I'm doing," she confessed with all the emotion she had. "I've never had sex before, okay? I didn't want you losing interest in me so..."

"So you became someone you thought I'd like." All playfulness had left his voice and had been replaced with slight anger. "How could you do this?"

"Nick, I thought you'd understand."

"Understand what? How you thought you had to put up a facade in order to win me over? How you thought I'd like you better if you weren't a virgin? How you didn't have enough trust in me to want you regardless of knowing the truth?"

All his questions hit her like a bolt of lightening. What had she done? There was surely no recovering from this. "I know you hate liars," she began, quietly sobbing. "I thought... I somehow thought that doing this would be the best thing. I never meant for this to drag out."

A thought crossed his mind. "Did you think we wouldn't make it this far?" His voice was gentle but soon grew a little. "Did you?"

'What a night,' she thought. Of all nights to drop this bomb, she had to go and make it happen right then. "I don't even know why I lied about it. I think at first it was just to try and impress you."

"Answer my question!"

"No Nick, I never thought you'd want me like this. I never thought you'd want me as your wife."

The sadness in his eyes couldn't have been more evident. "How can you marry someone you have such little faith in?" he whispered with spite.

"Please, just hear me out. I have no clue what I'm doing. Do you know how hard that is for me to admit to anyone, especially you? Until I met you guys I didn't have a clue about anything. You've opened my eyes to so much. I guess I just started feeling uncomfortable with all the other girls that hung around constantly. They were all so sexy and experienced and beautiful. I wanted to be all that and more for you," she whispered.

Nick stared long and hard at her, taking in every word. In a strange way, he understood. He remembered when he and the guys first got together. All of them had true experience with girls...all but him. He thought about all the emotions he harbored back then and how much he wanted to impress them. He figured it was one of the big reasons he had slept around. A little part of him was beginning to regret it. "You are more," he said sincerely. "You're all that and more." He leaned forward and kissed her lightly. "Just promise me one thing, and that's that you won’t lie to me again. We took some serious vows today and I intend to live by them. Do you?"

She closed her eyes, thanking God for letting Nick give her a second chance. "Only the truth," she whispered with relief.

"Well, in light of the situation we've entered, I have a little suggestion to make about our future actions of the night."
