Renewed Thoughts

It's been said that "All we need is love," and this is more true than anything else I know. For love is not only our highest aspiration, but it will also motivate us beyond anything else. To the romantic, love is a constant thought, a dream and goal, yet so many live in want. But I have contacted the One who caused David to say, "I shall not want," and I know that living with Him is the thing that I desire beyond anything else. For often we think that we need things without considering our ability to err, but there is an inerrant One that has said "...your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things."

In the search for romance in this life, in the seemingly endless search for fulfillment it is easy to become blinded to the One who fills all things, and our minds either scoff at the "backwards" idea of a creator or cannot comprehend nor accept a love that loves not in spite of our weaknesses but because of them. Paul was driven to follow after this One, to apprehend that for which he was apprehended, considering everything else to be worth nothing compared with the excellency of knowing this man, Jesus Christ. This is not the doctrine that I have received of a church, it is not the product of a theologian or religious figure- it is not the product of a man's attempt to reach out to the unknown, but the Unknown's attempt to reach out to a man, for the Unknown desires greatly that He be made known.
