This jersey shows great wear with plenty of stick marks, and a few unrepaired holes. Although this jersey has the Hockey East 20th Anniversary patch, it was never worn in 2003-04. UMass switched to their new-style road jersey that year, which did not have the patch. All 02-03 UMass road jerseys had the 20th patch added after the season. The patch was moved from under the Hockey East logo onto the left breast, and some glue residue remains under the logo. Anderson is one of UMass' leading scorers who wore the "A" in 04-05, the "C" in 05-06, and was elected captain for 06-07 as well.

UMass made small alterations to their uniforms over the next few seasons, winding up with this nice style. The font on the front was updated, and the numbers were upgraded to triple-layer. Gray trim was added which helps make the jersey look really sharp. This particular jersey, worn by team captain Mike Kostka, has a smattering of stick marks that make it easy to photomatch.

You can't ask for too much more in a jersey--a great player, awesome wear, and a nice patch. This was worn by UMass superstar James Marcou in his sophomore season, where he was named a First Team Hockey East All-Star, Second Team All-American, and Hobey Baker top-10 finalist. Marcou tied BU first-rounder Colin Wilson for the Hockey East scoring title with 47 points. Moreover, the jersey sports the great-looking Hockey East 25th Anniversary patch. It's pounded with stick marks, unrepaired holes, and tremendous amounts of pilling on the front. An awesome jersey--one of my favorites!
