HOLY CROSS

Holy Cross jerseys are pretty tough to come across in the hobby, but this is a particularly historic jersey. This was worn in the 2006 NCAA Regional where the Crusaders defeated the #1 Minnesota Gophers in perhaps the biggest upset in NCAA hockey history. After Holy Cross bowed out to North Dakota in the Regional Final, the team autographed all of the jerseys and sold them at Engelstad Arena, with the proceeds going to charity. Most of these jerseys are in the hands of local North Dakota fans but I was fortunate enough to add one of them to my collection.

This jersey was worn for an astounding four seasons and it has the wear to prove it. It is absolutely littered with puck and stick marks, as well as post paint on the sleeves. This was worn by Tony Quesada, who holds virtually every goaltending record at Holy Cross. He was in net in both of the Crusaders' NCAA Tournament appearances, including the defeat of top-seed Minnesota in 2006.
