How is an Azarel Sheltie Puppy Different?

If temperament, health, socialization and a lifetime of love
are of the utmost importance, you've come to the right place.

My puppies are born in the bedroom and raised in the kitchen.
By the time my baby Shelties go home around nine weeks
dew claws are off, health checked, microchipped
started on house training and leash training.
My puppies are all registered with the Canadian Kennel Club*.

All Azarel Shelties companion puppies are sold on
non-breeding registration with the Canadian Kennel Club.
Show prospects are sometimes available to qualified homes.

*Note: All dogs sold as "purebred" in Canada are required to be registered
with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) not some fly-by-night association.
Many people don't know it's illegal to charge extra for CKC registration.

How Much Does An Azarel Sheltie Puppy Cost?

Showing, genetic testing and maintenance of my dogs
costs significantly more than I get for puppies.
But you don't pay extra for the titles, the special care,
testing and training that I put into my dogs.
I don't give puppies away and I also don't gouge.
They stay here until I find exactly the right homes for them.
I do this out of love for my dear puppies.

Lifetime Replacement Guarantee

Most breeders provide no genetic health guarantee
while others give a very limited guarantee
that expires when the puppies are one or two years old.

Because Azarel's dogs are cleared for genetic health,
my puppies are lifetime replacement guaranteed
for genetic defects causing disabling hip, eye and bleeding (vWD) disorders.

Pet or Show? What's The Difference?

Many people want to know what is the difference between
buying a puppy strictly as a pet or as a potential show dog.
Our pet and show baby puppies cost the same in dollars.

In addition, the purchaser of puppy for show / breeding also agrees to:
do the dog's genetic tests for hips, eyes, MDR-1 and thyroid (up to $1,000)
finish the dog's Canadian Championship (up to $5,000 including handling)
if a male, keep him intact for Azarel to use as a stud dog without charge,
if a female, mate to a stud dog agreed with Azarel and
from the first litter, give a pick puppy back to Azarel.
