Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. I am fully bonded and an insured member of the
National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS).
What is the "Meet and Greet"?
The "Meet and Greet" is a complimentary visit that allows
you to get to know me. During this visit, I will perform the following tasks:
introduce myself to you and your pet, pick up your house key, confirm pertinent
information about you and your pet (e.g. vet information, emergency contacts,
special requests, etc.) and answer any additional questions you may have.
What is "Ready-Key"?
Ready-Key is designed for the "busy" pet owner who travels
frequently for business or pleasure or for those that request services such as
Lunchtime/Mid-day Dog Walks, Pet Taxi, Emergency Service, or Shopping. Sometimes
you don’t have a lot of notice yourself of business trips or late meetings or
perhaps you have so much going on you simply overlooked making pet sitting
reservations…whatever the reason, Ready-Key enrollment makes it easier for you,
and me, to accept shorter notice reservations! I require one (1) working house
key. I will protect the identity of your house key and keep it in a secured box.
The key will never be labeled with your name or address or kept in the same
location as any paperwork containing your name or address. Should several months
pass and you have not requested my services, I will contact you to determine if
you would like me to retain or return the key.
What are your payment arrangements?
Payments may be made by cash, personal check or money
order. I require 50% down at the time of your departure (you can leave it on the
counter top) and the balance upon your return. An invoice and self-addressed
envelope will be left at your home on my last visit and it will indicate the
amount due. If we have discussed returning your key at a later date (usually
within 5 business days) you may make your final payment when I return the house
key. Otherwise, payment would be appreciated within 5 business days.
How far in advance should I schedule
your services?
Are there extra costs for short notices or Holidays?
For planned vacations I would like, if possible, one to two-weeks notice. If
this is the first time you are using my service, I will perform the
complimentary "Meet and Greet" as close to your departure date so that your
pet(s) remembers me as I do not want to cause any unnecessary stress or anxiety.
I do charge a one-time fee for late booking. Summer months and Holidays book
fast so please let me know as soon as possible so that I may assist you. Again,
Ready- Key enrollment makes it easier for you, and me, to accept shorter notice
reservations!
Will anyone come into my home other than
you?
Definitely not! I am the only one authorized to enter your
home. I will always remain in the areas that require me to care for your pets or
your home, specified by you. Areas within your home that do not contain supplies
or cleaning supplies are none of my concern and will be treated accordingly.
Your privacy will always be highly respected.
