I started my day normal. Get up, take a shower, do my hair, do my make-up, eat breakfast, and then brush my teeth. Then I got in my car and headed to school. My morning classes started the same and ended the same, but during my French class and right before lunch I was called to the office. I was seriously hoping I wasn’t in trouble for the day before. My best friend Carter and I walked into the office and I almost fainted, as did Carter… A young male, one of the most handsome men I had ever met was standing there.

“Miss Dirbee Baxter,” he said.

“Yes,” I blurted out.

“Hi, my name’s Zac Hanson and I received a letter from you stating that you loved music and that you would love to meet me. So, here I am, can I take you out to lunch or something?”

“Sure,” I said surprised and awed.

I quickly said good-bye to Carter and asked her to tell my French teacher the circumstances, I was sure she would understand.

We went outside and he showed me to a blue Toyota Tacoma sitting in front of my school. We got in and he turned the motor on and started to drive away.

He turned down the Beatle’s CD, which was playing, so we could talk. He asked me to tell him about myself and the things I liked to do. It turned out to him that we had a lot in common. I asked him why he replied to my letter and he said it was because he liked my handwriting. I thought that was weird, but cool.

We went to what Zac said was his favorite restaurant, Burger King. We talked and we actually became good friends, we were the same age and had a lot of the same stuff going on. I then nervously asked him about Kate, his girlfriend. He told me that she was made up only to redirect girl’s attention from him. I was very relieved, but he made me promise that I wouldn’t tell.

We went and saw a movie then he took me home, meeting my dad and promising that we would keep in touch. I was so happy that I went to sleep that night and dreamt about Zac; that had been the happiest day of my life.
