Your Metis Island Connection

Vancouver Island Métis Nation is an organization,
which represents the interests and rights of Métis
people living in the Vancouver Island, Gulf
Island, Powell River region of British Columbia.

V.I.M.N. is comprised of the presidents of each
recognized Local in the Region. It operates as a
legal entity under the Society Act with a mission
to facilitate enhancement and development of the educational,
economic, social and cultural well-being of its membership,
and to provide advocacy for Métis rights in the Region.

V.I.M.N. conducts its affairs independant of any
political, religious or other special interest
group influence, and ensures a democratic process is
followed for the selection of its leadership
and for decision making.

V.I.M.N. undertakes such initiatives as deemed
appropriate to promote its mission and the growth
of the Vancouver Island Métis Nation.
