Having teams would mean we would need designs, but it was not until we talked to one of the players and cartoon artist, Bruce Bostwick, that we knew the "teams" concept would work. With the great interest of someday getting his work known to the major comic corporations, Bruce thought that the Internet would be a great place to start and was happy to accept the promotion of logo designer for our OBHL teams.
In no time, the members and players of OBHL came up with rough ideas of the names and designs of the teams to be used. In the vote we came up with one team being called the "Corporate Raiders" and the other to be called the "Cave Dwellers."
Bruce had some sketches ready for review in preparation to be put on the site and, without many disruptions, we came up with our recent designs which are on the top of this page.
However, the "teams" idea was just for unity and theme of the league. The players don't belong to just one team, and the teams change everyday. When we all play, the goaltenders choose their players and then the goaltenders also choose a team they'd like to play for that day. For example: one day goaltender Ryan Rundle might decide to play for the "Cave Dwellers," whereas the next day might be a different story, he might want to play for the "Corporate Raiders."
See below to find out how we came up with the names for our teams, and what they mean to us. As you'll find out, the story behind the names are quite interesting.

The "Corporate Raiders" concept came about due to Clint's interest in Microsoft and it's corporation. "It's something I've become known for among our friends, always being the one who thinks like a corporate businessman. It's become a way of life for me now and it's something we can all crack jokes on once in a while," Clint says. |
The "Cave Dwellers" concept came about and was named after the name we gave to Bruce's room. "The Cave," a place where we spend a lot of time on our weekends and have amounts of fun being entertained. "It's a place of sanctuary for some of us," states Ryan Rundle, one of Bruce's "Cave Dwellers." |
