With a song in my heart 
and a smile on my face.
I'm walking through life 
covered in God's grace.



He picked me up from 
the gutter of sin.
A brand new life 
I found in Him.


He put a new song in 
my heart that day.
Now I'm following 
Him all the way..


Others see the change 
He made in me.
A better person 
is what they see.


I was buried in the 
slime and filth of sin.
Now I'm washed in the 
blood because of Him.


I often hurt my family and 
friends that loved me so.
I had no place to 
turn no where to go.


Then I asked God to 
come into my heart.
He came in and said 
He would never depart.


Because of His love 
I'm a much better me.
He saw the good in me 
that others could'nt see.


So with a song in my heart 
and a smile on my face.
Because of His love I will 
continue to walk in His grace.
