TIPS FOR CYBER-GRANDPARENTS
(from Grammy Marie and Step-Grandpa Dan)
Long Distance Grandparenting in the New Millennium

Thanks for visiting our page!

Grammy and Dan's Story Page started as a way to interact with our (then) five year old granddaughter, Lyamm, who lives four hundred miles away from us.

Our own children grew up with very little contact with their grandparents- a great loss for everyone concerned. We have therefore been determined to find a way for my grandchildren and us to get to know each other- despite the physical distance between us.

The Internet provides us with a way to shrink physical distances. Used creatively, it becomes a fun and educational experience for the whole family. For example, seven year old Lyamm has contributed ideas and drawings to Grammy and Dan's Story Page. The page has also enabled three year old Cael to stay in touch with his beloved guinea pigs even when he is not able to see them in person.

On this page, we hope to share some of our tips for grandparents to use the Internet with their grandchildren. We will add new tips weekly!
