I consider myself very lucky to have a copy of Darklands, a epic RPG by MICROPROSE. One of the great aspects of this game is the non-linearity of it... however you are never stuck wondering what to do next. There is always something to do, from tracking down a raubritter or dragon to mixing some Breath of Death to brushing up on your Speak Latin or improving virtue. It is the very open-endedness that makes this game so fun. However, there is almost always a goal, just one that is currently out of your reach. Also, it is not the same each time you play through the game, though there is not as much replay value as in a game like Diablo. It takes much longer to finish Darklands than to finish Diablo (unless you take more than a couple hours to kill the Butcher).
