Howard Johnson Hotel This is our first choice for people out of town. The hall is easy to find from this location and its just minutes from out beautiful water front. The Howard Johnson is also equipped with an outdoor pool which is perfect for the warm weather.

The Dorchester Hotel Is located across the street from Pioneer Plaza in the downtown core of Nanaimo. The view is amazing on the ocean side and for those interested, its close to most major night clubs in town.

The Coast Bastion Hotel Nanaimo's largest Hotel by far. The Coast is right next door to the Port Theatre and is the theatres sponsoring hotel. They offer a relaxing lounge as well as a full restaurant. I hear the food is good but a little pricey.

Motels

I am going to wait on the motel section. To be honest, the only names I recognized my friend worked at as a chambermaid and... I think I will just wait for Ian's Help.

Camp Grounds

Next on the list in camping grounds. There are lots of beautiful camp grounds around Nanaimo.

Living Forest Camp Ground This camping facility is located on the outskirts of Nanaimo closest to Victoria. It offers a wide variety of sites based on how you choose to camp. The rates are good and the offer discounts for CAA members.

Bed and Breakfasts

There are many Bed and Breakfasts in Nanaimo. With all the tourists I am sure they do well. Here are a couple of the many I found. They are easy to locate and finding your way to the hall should be easy.

B&B On The Green This is an adult oriented Bed and Breakfast located right next door to one of Nanaimo's finest Golf Courses. The wedding will not wait for those of you stuck on the 19th hole.

Carey House Bed & Breakfast This B&B offers Scottish style hospitality and is located near the downtown core. If you don't mind pets, it should be a lovely nights stay.

The Grey Pony Bed & Breakfast This B&B is a little more difficult to locate but it is worth it. Grey Pony has a magnificent view of Departure Bay and the put great effort into the care of their guest. Everything I have herd about this place makes it sound heavenly.

Westwood Lake Lodge Located not far from Bonnie's mothers house, the B&B offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. If you are looking to stay in town for a couple of days, this would be the place I would recommend.
