Sunday, March 24th 2002, was my second agility show! We had gotten at the place around 8:20AM, but then had to wait around in the hot sun until approx. 2:20PM, so by the time my course came up, my owner and I were not in the mood at all to run the course...I entered Novice A, regular round 1 & 2, and also Jumpers. For round 1, I got first place, but a fault for missing the contact zones, as for that show, ALL four paws MUST touch the contact zones (yellow areas) and we had never done that before.. I only missed the contact zones going down on the dog-walk (well, actually, I got 2 paws in it). For round 2, it was weird. My owner and I had never practiced running the weave poles first, so, it was different, and I missed one weave pole, but currected it, and got a 5 pt. fault. My time for both runs was great! Way on the SCT! (standared course time) Well, anyway, I brought home three ribbons; 2 blue-first place, and one qualifying score. I also got two toys, and a pink collar for my two runs!! We never stayed for the Jumpers course, as we would have to wait yet anothet two others for that class... so, my owner lost 3 bucks because we didn't run it. I had a great time! I'm hoping to enter the next agility trial in July! Hopefully I'll get my title soon in Novice A, only 15 more points!!
