~*~Windows to my Heart~*~

I may be a published poet,
to be great, I'll never claim.
You'll love it or hate it.
I'll write just the same.

My words come from the heart,
deep from in my soul.
Takes only a thought to start,
to make a diamond out of coal.

As you look into each window,
a bit of me you'll find.
The highs and the lows,
of a heart so true and kind.

Stories of a longing heart,
to reach into someones soul.
Bittersweet, as a fresh made tart,
and loving words to console.

Caring words to a loved child,
or a friend thats tried and true.
Gentle, encourging and mild,
turning gray days to skies of blue.

Enjoy the windows to my heart,
and pass them onto friends.
Dearest ones, close and miles apart,
and a little sunshine, you may send.©
