Step Four: Install the new Stereo

Allright, you've got the harness wired and the new unit ready to install. Your new stereo probably has a DIN sleeve. Take it off the unit, and slip it into the dash opening. It will have several tabs near the front edge on each side. Use your flat screwdriver to bend them outward, locking the DIN sleeve in place. Next, connect the harness adaptor and the antenna adaptor, and begin sliding the new stereo into the dash. There isn't much clearance behind the stereo, so you'll need to feed the wiring downward behing the black stereo support sleeve. That's why you removed all those panels in the first step. Before you get the stereo all the way into the dash, it's a good idea to test it just to make sure everything's going to work. When you've got the stereo all the way in, you'll hear it click into place. Now, attach the stereo's trim panel, and reassemble your dashboard, reversing your disassembly steps.

Step Five: Admire your Work

After you've finished the reassambly, it should look something like this....
