HIV/AIDS SUPPORT PAGE

I intend to put here some pictures of people living with HIV/AIDS whom I have come across. This page is designed to show the work that I am doing to help people living with HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe. I will soon be registering a charity organisation,SEKA MUKONDOMBERA WAFA TRUST (SEMUWAT), to institutionalise my efforts. The translation of the name of this upcoming organisation is YOU SHOULD ONLY LAUGH AT THE PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS AFTER YOUR OWN DEATH (that's only when you will be 100% sure that you will never contract it yourself).

Why am I into this HIV/AIDS business? I read an article that sent me acting. Now I act because I care about people living with HIV/AIDS. Here's one paragraph therefrom.

"What's going on in Africa right now is a crime. When the history of our times is written, future generations will be astonished that we watched the death of 40 million people--at least half of which we could have prevented--and did nothing."

Zimbabwe has one of the highest rates of HIV infection in the world, with 25% of the population reported to be infected. Life expectancy in the country dropped from 62 years in 1990 to its current 44 years. More than 600,000 children have already lost one or both parents to AIDS, and an estimated 2,000 people die weekly from AIDS-related complications (Zimbabwe Herald, 12 Jun).

I just want to do something, no matter how small. The size of my effort doesn't matter much to me - it is the size of my will to try that matters most.
