The Bushwhackers
Luke Williams & Butch Miller

The Bushwhackers are one of the most famous and loved tag teams of all time.

They began their wrestling careers in the late 1970's in New Zealand featuring on the NZ TV show On The Mat.

They later travelled to the United States and were known as the Kiwi's

The team changed its name to The Sheepherders and began wrestling a violent and bloody style that was popularised by ECW.

The Sheepherders fueded with the greatest teams of that era including:
The Road Warriors, The Fantastics, Roddy Piper & Rick Martel, Austin Idol & Robert Fuller.

They began wrestling in the National Wrestling Alliance in the mid 80's and beat many of the top teams there.

In 1989 they moved to the WWF and renamed themselves The Bushwhackers.

In their Pay per view debut they beat the Rougeau Brothers at WrestleMania 5.

Butch & Luke were now beloved fan favourites and began using the Battering Ram to defeat teams such as:
The Powers of Pain, The Bolshevics, Rhythm & Blues, The Orient Express.

The Bushwhackers toured New Zealand in 1990 and defeated The Bolshevics, Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov in Auckland, Wellington And Christchurch.

The team is also well known for the time they put into charity work.

The team now wrestles on the independent wrestling circuit and is still as popular as ever.

The Bushwhackers have wrestled around the world and have beaten the best tag teams everywhere.

They continue to be excellent ambassadors of New Zealand and truly deserve the honour of being inducted into this Hall of Fame.
