Some people think that Precision Skating
is just another Team Sport,
but those of us who know it well
know it is a game of a different sort!
How many other sports can you name
where underwear is taboo?
Where bright red lipstick and blush is a must
and the hairspray is actually glue!
Can you really say that other sports
would squash three teams in a room
and that the cheers can be loud enough
so you couldn't hear a cannon boom.
Where your smile is truly painted on
because your lips to your teeth are stuck,
and the only thing the coach can do
is pray you don't run amuck.
So all of us should just think a spell
and see that as teammates we're all the same.
We should root for all and everyone
regardless of the name.
Because if you really think about it,
