Everyone knows that Rolex, contrary to many other watch
manufacturers, has no company website. Their information policy was and is,
well, rather peculiar.
On the other hand, a simple search for the word "Rolex" on AltaVista found 74,740 webpages. Obviously, the company is present on the
web. If you look at these pages, however, you will notice that an
overwhelming majority is about buying and selling Rolex watches - mostly
selling.
The idea of this webpage is to lead you to at least some links where you will
find what you are probably looking for - some factual information about Rolex
watches, e.g., pictures, data, information about serial numbers that helps
you to date a watch etc.
Atlas Diamond Company's Rolex catalog Commercial site, lots of pictures (in fact, a full catalog) and the reference numbers. The site includes a page called "Inside a Rolex" which contains some pictures that were obviously scanned from the Rolex catalog. The image quality is quite good, look at this page if you don't have a catalog!
