A "Superman" suspension is a face down hanging which gives a body the illusion and sensation of flying. Of all the different body suspension, this one appears to be the easiest physically as well as mentally. With no real view of the hooks, or of the body in general, the brain is able to disassociate, which in turn creates a feeling of floating rather than one of hanging. Also, since it requires many more hooks to hang a figure horizontally, the overall feeling is that of a light tugging
