And when I heard of your death my whole body stung.
I’ve never experienced a greater loss then yours,
And for the rest of my life I will carry the sores.
But with the pain come the memories I will hold close to me forever.
And someday we can swim the long journey together.
But for now I have to learn to go further in life without your smile.
But right now I will sit and cry for awhile.
Your memory is with all of us, and in our hearts you survive,
And you will always be alive.
You touched us all in your own special way,
And there’s nothing now that any of us can say,
That will make is easier to heal the pain.
But even through all this rain,
I’m sure you’re looking down upon us all, with your big heavenly wings.
And you know, as I tell the rest, that none of us will forget the things,
You did to make us smile, laugh, and brighten our day.
And we will ALL remember and hold you dear in our own special way.
