New Tag Team Champs?

Since this report will be submitted prior to TNA’s Bound for Glory (have to have time to do the recap too!), we won’t know for certain if what Adam “Pacman” Jones said last week – that he would be finished with TNA after the Bound for Glory PPV -- is the truth.  Before we all let out a sigh of relief and say THANK YOU!, let’s make sure Jones isn’t just trying to hype himself again. And if Jones is done with TNA, he's  give us a spoiler for Bound for Glory: Team Pacman will be handing the title over to the opposing team.

Another Adam Pacman Jones Report

TNA threw a party last month after the first two-hour taping of iMPACT. Jones had 500 one dollar bills and was making it rain money.  Source: Will this guy ever catch on?  It wasn’t funny then – and it sure isn’t funny now!

I found a nifty little article posted on Here it is in full:

Posted on 10/13/107 by Adam Lebow

I was just watching Inside the NFL on HBO and in their parting shots segment they brought up the fact that Packman Jones has said he is ready to be reinstated into the NFL.

Bob Costas, who was the one talking about this, said that all that Packman has done is "win the Total Nonstop Action wrestling tag team championship title" and to paraphrase, he went onto say that unless Packman belives that winning the tag team title is giving back to the community, he should not be reinstated into the NFL.

Hey, good or bad, at least TNA got mentioned by name...

iMPACT Rating

Last week’s iMPACT rating came in at 1.05, rounded up to 1.1. Same rating as last week. Source:

Where Does Kurt Angle Stand with DUI?

No one seems to know right now.  The last we heard, Kurt was busy letting his lawyer do all of the talking but Kurt did let it be known that he refused the blood test on the advice of his agent.  I wonder if his agent has a legal degree?

My favorite poll site asked the question: As a result of his arrest, should TNA strip Kurt Angle of the TNA title? Votes: 2,063. Yes: 61% No: 31%. Source: As of this writing, Angle still has the title.  Perhaps Sting will be holding the belt after Bound for Glory.

And one of my favorite columnists, Bob McGee, can be found at with an article regarding Angle’s arrest.  He titled the article tick…tick…tick…boom. As usual, McGee tells it like it is.

It should also be noted Kurt has been making the rounds A G A I N inferring that he is going to sign with IFL and, according to, commissioner Kurt Otto has confirmed they are in talks with Kurt.  If Kurt thinks MMA is where he should be, I don’t understand why he doesn’t just pack his bags and go. Enough of the MMA already.  This is NOT MMA.  This is TNA and it is wrestling!

Jeff Jarrett versus The Angle Family

It is being reported that there is major conflict between Jarrett and Angle regarding story lines. BG James, Jeremy  Borash, Abyss and Dutch Mantel have aligned themselves with Jarrett while Vince Russo has aligned himself with Angle clan. Angle seems to have forgotten that Jarrett is a majority owner in the company and should have a lot more pull than Angle. Source: My perspective is that  Angle wants to have his hands in everything from wrestling to MMA and if he can’t concentrate on one or the other, he should pack his bags and start his own company versus trying to screw up the one that Jarrett worked so hard to build.  Here’s hoping Jarrett stands up to the Angle clan and gets it done.

Don’t Hold Your Breath

Mrs. Angle has some quotes on the Chicago Suns website. She tells everyone that if she asked to wrestle that she will – is she going to do MMA too? She’s claiming she can beat any of the TNA knockouts.  If I were Jarrett, I’d toss her into a match with Amazing Kong.  We might have the shortest match in TNA history. My take is that she couldn’t handle Kurt getting all the press releases while she sits and fumes on the back burner.

Joey Mercury to Grace the TNA Ring?

We hear that TNA wants Joey Mercury, real name Joey Matthews, and wants him to start right away. It appears TNA is trying to get him signed up in time for Bound for Glory. Source: If he showed at the PPV, I guess we’ll know they got him to sign up that fast.

TNA Takes on Japan

TNA and Japan will be meeting at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 in order to compete in Wrestling Kingdom in Tokyo Dome II.

Word is also out there on the street that TNA will be in Canada soon.

X-Pac, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash – The Outsiders to TNA? reports Kevin Nash has suggested that TNA bring in Scott Hall and Sean Waltman. Nash is working on a new contract with TNA since his present contract has expired.  For those of you who know about YouTube, you can catch Sean Waltman in AAA in Mexico.  And yes, he’s still crazy and still very good in the ring.  We don’t know if Sean is under contract to AAA but Judas Mesias is and he is working for both venues at this time.

Speaking of Judas Mesias

We should say that Judas is working for both when he can physically get back to work. Judas Mesias, wrestles in AAA as Ricky Banderas, El Mesias and Muerte Cibernetica, and was injured during a fall from a ladder.  At the time of his injury, Judas Mesias was AAA’s champion and the hombre does look good wearing a title belt.

And Judas may be back sooner than we thought! reports that Judas is being promoted in AAA matches for October 18 and October 20, 2007.  Is there a chance we may be able to see him in some capacity at Bound for Glory?  Here’s one Judas Mesias fan under all of his ring names that certainly hopes so and she’ll be on the edge of her seat watching for him.

Sean Waltman, who was injured and diagnosed with sciatica shortly after Judas was taken out, is also scheduled to return to AAA action October 20. You can catch Sean Waltman and Judas Mesias in AAA matches by searching

For Those Keeping Track

Of the evil Phil Astin, steroid pusher to pro wrestlers, he has filed bankruptcy. Just last week, Astin’s high dollar attorney backed out of defending Astin due to his financial situation. Astin filed a Chapter 11 on October 1, 2007. He lists assets between 0 and ten thousand dollars and debts between 0 and fifty thousand dollars. No trustee has been appointed to the case at this time.  Astin is expected to face more charges as investigation into his medical records continue. Source:

Where Are They Now

Shane Douglas Working at Target reports that Shane Douglas, real name Troy Martin, is in the management training program at Target.  Some sources reported that Shane’s addiction problem led to his ousting from wrestling but Shane denies the rumors. Shane has previously worked for WWE and was last seen working for TNA. You can catch up with Shane here You aren’t going to hear me complain about where Shane works.  He’s a grown up and can do whatever he wants.  At least he’s employed.

Johnny Fairplay versus Danny Bonaduce

If you didn’t catch it last week’s WWE News Bytes, Fairplay has filed suit against Bonaduce for the damage done when Bonaduce recently flipped Fairplay over on his face. The film clip immediately hit YouTube and millions of viewers got to see the action first hand. The DA refused to file charges against Bonaduce and stated it was self defense. I saw the clip and believe that Bonaduce did what anyone would have done in that situation – unless, of course, he had decided to stop and pummel Fairplay once he was down. This is a joke of a lawsuit and here’s hoping the judge tosses the lawsuit as soon as he or she sees it. Or perhaps Bonaduce is in the process of filing a lawsuit against Fairplay claiming frivolous lawsuit tactics.
