This is the first ECW since the No Mercy pay per view.
We heard rumors earlier that CM Punk may be in no shape to be in the ring
at ECW tonight.
CM Punk held on to his title against Big Daddy V with
interference from Matt Stryker, costing V the title then V beats Punk repeatedly
in the ring. I didn’t see
the match but it didn’t appear to be a long match.
ECW is being broadcast from Detroit, MI
on the Sci-Fi channel.

Daddy V with a pin and a three count
Tommy Dreamer got screwed two weeks in a row.
Last week he had the title shot taken away by V and this week he gets
beat up by V. Is there a point to all of this? A Dreamer/Punk match would
have been over the top at No Mercy. Dreamer deserves better than what he has
been getting in recent matches.
We see a recap of No Mercy and the joke of a title swap
series of matches. In case no one noticed WWE’s Monday Night Raw ratings
went down this week. It remains to be seen how ECW and Friday Night Smackdown
will fair.

Back from commercial break, we are told to vote now on the
diva search.
Kevin Thorn, weighing 270 lbs.

Winner: Kevin Thorn with a pin fall and a three
count.
Curtis wasn’t too bad in the ring but it’s a shame
that he had to face Thorn on his first time out. Thorn is always impressive no
matter who he is up against. He
would have been good in a match with Punk at No Mercy.
We see the recap of the Balls Mahoney/Kelly Kelly saga and
what happened last week on ECW.
Now we are backstage with The Miz and Kelly and Miz is
making fun of Mahoney again.

Back from commercial break, we see a recap of The Condemned
movie that is now out on DVD.

Another you have got to be kidding me.
No way Mahoney lost to Miz.
After the match, Kelly is on the floor checking on Mahoney
and Miz grabs Kelly’s teddy bear that Mahoney has brought to the ring.
Kelly asks for the bear back, but Miz punts the bear into the audience.
Miz might have been able to take out the teddy bear in a
fair fight but I would put my money on the bear..
It was a surprise attack and the bear didn’t have a chance.
We see a promo of John Morrison. Remember John Morrison?
He’s the ECW roster member who got busted for being on the Signature
Pharmacy list. Now he’s back and
he gets a match his very first night back with CM Punk, the present ECW
Champion. What about Tommy Dreamer, Kevin Thorn and Elijah Burke?
They don’t count now that Morrison is back from his suspension? Shades
of Randy Orton.

Back from commercial break, we see another recap of the
Orton title win, the Triple H beat down by Umaga and Orton and the entrance of
Shawn Michaels, back from his injury.
We see a promo for Cyber Sunday. It is our understanding that Triple H was originally on the
card but has been removed from the Cyber Sunday line up. Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy
or Shawn Michaels can face Randy Orton. The
fans vote on the opponent for Orton and a championship match.
