2 on 1 Handicap Match

The Big Show, 7’0” tall, 430 lbs.

Vs.

Jody Ryder

&

Jay Garland

At a combined weight of 430 lbs.

(I am not sure about the names of Big Show’s opponents.

The ring announcer's mic isn't coming through very well.)

Audience favorite: I’m not sure

My favorite: Big Show

Big Show Is set to take on two opponents that at least way as much as he does – if you count the combined weight that is. I look for this opening match to be a squash. Before the match begins, Cole and Coach discuss Big Show taking on Floyd Mayweather and remind the audience that next week on Monday Night Raw Big Show will be facing a professional boxer in the ring in an Exhibition Match.

The bell rings and both men get tossed around and land outside the ring. Show reaches over the top rope to bring in one wrestler and then takes the other wrestler down to the mat when he gets back in the ring. One wrestler is smashed against the corner post and the other wrestler is still down on the mat. Big Show choke slams Garland before taking on his partner. Show goes into boxing mode to deliver lefts and rights to the wrestler still on his feet. Big Show delivers a hard right hand, goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner

The Big Show

Ouch without the use of fists. Big Show may have trimmed down some since his last run in WWE but he is still one Big Boy.

After the match, Show takes the mic and says there is a rumor going around that in September Floyd Mayweather is going to face off against Oscar De Lay Hoya. Show says it’s only a rumor and Show says he is here to squash that rumor. Show says that at Wrestlemania, he is going to take apart Mayweather so there will be no way Mayweather will be able to face De La Hoya. Show says that there could be a Big Show – De La Hoya match but Show would squash De La Hoya too. Show tells Mayweather that the twenty thousand dollars they are paying Mayweather to face Show at Wrestlemania won’t be worth it. Replay of the end of the previous match. Both wrestlers are still down on the mat with assistants going into the ring to help the downed men as Big Show leaves the ring and heads up the entrance ramp.

Commercial break.

Back from commercial break, PR for Wrestlemania’s pledge to the Make A Wish Foundation. The Foundation is based in Phoenix, AZ. 50 kids will from 50 states will have their wish granted at Wrestlemania. The Foundation wants to recognize John Cena. Cena will be granting his 100th wish.

Cole tells the audience that tonight in tag team action, it will be The Animal Batista and The Big Red Machine Kane going up against The Great Khali and M.V.P.

I hate to complain but doesn’t it seem like Moore and Yang are always in the ring against Deuce and Domino.  Isn’t there any other tag team out there they can be up against? I can’t tell Deuce and Domino apart in the ring so I have to go by what the announcers tell me.

The bell rings and it’s Yang and Domino facing off in the ring. Domino does a little trash talking and as Yang approaches, Domino delivers a boot to the midsection. Domino has Yang in a headlock, taking him down to the mat with a hip toss. Yang gets back to his feet and fights to break out of the headlock. He does, but Domino sends Yang down to the mat and tries to deliver an elbow, but Yang gets out of the way and Domino meets the mat. Domino sends Yang into the ropes and as Yang comes off the ropes, he does a cartwheel over Domino, then comes back to take Domino down to the mat with an arm drag. Yang tags in Moore and Moore takes Domino down with a dropkick, goes for the cover and gets a one count before Domino kicks out. Domino sends Moore into the ropes and Moore takes Domino down with a hurricanrana. Moore is now on the ring apron and he goes up and appears to be going for another hurricanrana, but Domino throws him over the side of the ring.  Moore lands on the floor near the guardrail surrounding the audience. Yang is down on the floor going around the ring to help his partner but the ref sends him back to his own corner as Deuce is down on the floor to roll Moore back into the ring. Domino goes for the pin and gets a one count before Moore gets a shoulder up. That looked like a hard hit outside the ring that Moore took. Deuce is tagged into the match, he goes for the cover and gets a two count before Moore kicks out. Deuce had Moore down on the mat, Moore gets back to his feet and Deuce delivers a series of fists to the head. Moore fights back with fists of his own, but Deuce has Moore down on the mat delivering kicks and blows. Deuce goes to work on Moore’s neck. Moore gets back to his feet and Deuce uses the hair to slam Moore down to the mat. Deuce walks over and shoves Yang off the ring apron down to the floor and goes back to work on Moore. Deuce picks Moore up and uses the ropes to choke him until the ref makes him break the hold, Deuce tags in Domino and he uses the ropes to choke Moore until the ref makes him break. Domino goes across the ring and takes a running start at Moore who is still up against the ropes. He dives to land on Moore, but Moore manages to get out of the way and Deuce crotches himself on the second rope. Domino reaches up and tags in Deuce but Moore rolls across the ring and makes the tag to Yang. Yang enters the ring and he goes at Deuce with forearms to the jaw. Deuce tries to deliver a kick but Yang catches his leg and slams him down to the mat. Deuce gets back to his feet and Yang delivers a dropkick that sends Deuce back down to the canvas. Deuce gets back to his feet again, Yang tries to send him across into the ropes, Deuce gets the switch and sends Yang into the ropes, Yang hits the ropes and is nailed in the back by Domino. Yang turns around and delivers a right to Domino that sends him down to the floor. Deuce nails Yang as he turns back around, the sends Yang into the corner post. Deuce charges at Yang but Yang meets him with an elbow to the jaw. Yang hops up on the top rope and delivers a backward moonsault, Deuce gets out of the way, Yang lands on his feet, Deuce delivers a kick to Yang’s abdomen. Domino is climbing upon the top turnbuckle and the ref is telling him to get back in his corner. Moore is now headed Domino’s direction. Moore shoves Domino and he goes off the turnbuckle and down to the floor as Deuce delivers a suplex to Yang in the ring. As Moore goes back around the ring apron to his corner, Cherry comes around the side of the ring and grabs Moore by the leg. As Moore tries to get his leg free, Deuce comes across the ring and delivers a shot that sends Moore down to the floor. Cherry goes back to see about Domino as Deuce picks up Yang in the center of the ring. Deuce tries to set Yang up, Yang flips over Deuce’s back and lands on the mat, Deuce turns around and is met by an off the top rope moonsault courtesy of Yang. This time Yang connects with Deuce, Yang goes for the cover and gets the three count.

Winners

Jimmy Wang Yang

&

Shannon Moore

Why don’t Moore and Yang have the tag team belts?  This match was fantastic!  Just after I complain about these four meeting in the ring all the time, they go and pull off a great opening match!  Moore and Domino took some hard falls in this match.  All four men deserve title shots for the way they worked in the ring tonight.

The camera now goes to Vickie Guerrero and The Rated R Superstar Edge.  I think TNA and WWE have a contest going on disgusting romances. Either way, it isn’t worth the effort for me to try to do a play-by-play (snicker, snicker), so I’ll just provide the highlights of the conversation, or lack thereof. It appears Edge does not care for the state of Arizona. Edge wants to take their honeymoon in Canada. They are interrupted by Ryder and Hawkins, the resident Edgeheads. Edge says that Vickie came up with a great idea. Last week The Undertaker put his hands on Edge and this week the Edgeheads are going to take care of Undertaker. In fact, Zack Ryder is the Edgehead being sacrificed in a match against The Undertaker. Zack looks a little worried, but Edge tells him that they have his back. Good luck with that, Zack!

Commercial break.

Back from commercial break, the WWE Smack of the Night: the match between Chuck Palumbo and Jamie Noble when Noble went off the top turnbuckle and landed on Palumbo’s motorcycle and then the beat down of Noble by Palumbo while Michelle McCool watches.

Chuck Palumbo from San Diego, CA, weighing 280 lbs.

Accompanied by his motorcycle

Vs.

Jamie Noble from Hanover, WV, weighing 202 lbs.

Accompanied to the ring by Michelle McCool

Audience favorite: Jamie Nobel

My favorite: Jamie Noble, Chuck Palumbo and Chuck’s motorcycle

What has Jamie Noble done to get himself continually booked against Chuck Palumbo. Don’t get me wrong, I think Noble is great in the ring, but he is a little outweighed here and he has been beaten up by Palumbo before.

Noble enters the ring and the ref has to get in the middle.  Noble is itching to get his hands on Palumbo after the last couple of beat downs he has suffered at the hands of Palumbo. The bell rings and the two lock up in the ring.  Palumbo shoves Noble back into the ring post. Palumbo charges at Noble but Noble steps out of the way and Palumbo runs into the ring post. Noble goes to work on Palumbo. Palumbo shoves Noble back but Noble comes right back at Palumbo with fists and chops while Palumbo is still trapped in the corner. Palumbo gets out of the corner, picks Noble up and slams him back first into the corner post. Palumbo draws back to deliver a blow but Noble gets his boots up and nails Palumbo in the chest. Noble goes up on the top turnbuckle, grabs Palumbo’s arm and leans backward, stretching Palumbo’s arm and shoulder. The ref makes Noble break the hold and as Palumbo comes at Noble, who is now on the ring apron, Noble delivers a shoulder block to Palumbo’s midsection. Noble goes back up on the top turnbuckle, grabs Noble’s arm and leaps off onto the floor, slamming Palumbo’s arm and shoulder on the top rope. Noble is back in the ring but Palumbo grabs him and sends him to through the ropes and out to the floor. Palumbo goes out after Noble, picks him up off the floor, grabs Noble’s leg and delivers a short arm clothesline that sends Noble crashing back to the floor. Palumbo picks Noble up again as McCool comes around the side of the ring yelling at him to stop. Palumbo drops Noble on the floor and goes after McCool but Noble is on his feet and he sends Palumbo shoulder first into the ring post. Noble slams Palumbo’s head on the ring apron and then rolls him back into the ring. Noble goes to work on Palumbo’s arms and shoulder and then delivers an elbow to the top of the head. Noble goes out on the ring apron and climbs the ropes but Palumbo is back on his feet and he delivers a blow to Noble, Palumbo climbs up the ropes and throws Noble over his head and down to the mat. The ref starts a count but only gets to one before Palumbo is back to his feet. Palumbo goes for the cover and gets a two count before Noble powers out. Palumbo goes to work on Noble with fists until the ref makes him break. Palumbo again goes for a cover but only gets a two count before Noble gets a shoulder up. Noble is back on his feet and is fighting back. He comes off the ropes but Palumbo delivers an elbow to the jaw. Palumbo picks Noble up but Noble slides down over Palumbo’s back and again goes for the arm and shoulder. Noble has Palumbo in an arm bar and he has Palumbo down on the mat, trying to get Palumbo to tap out. Palumbo manages to grab the bottom rope and the ref makes Noble break the hold. Both men back to the feet with Palumbo delivering a hard right that drops Noble in his tracks. Palumbo picks Noble up and body slams him to the mat. Palumbo goes up on the top turnbuckle and comes off with a splash but Noble gets out of the way and Palumbo hits the mat. Noble is back to his feet and he goes to work with right hands and delivers a boot, but Palumbo grabs Noble’s leg. Noble uses his other leg to come off the mat with a kick to the skull. Palumbo is down on the mat. Noble charges across the ring and delivers a smash to Palumbo who is down in the corner. Noble climbs up to the top turnbuckle, and comes off with a flying dropkick, connecting with Palumbo’s jaw. Noble goes for the cover and gets a two count before Palumbo powers out. Noble tries to send Palumbo into the ropes but he can’t get the job done. Palumbo sends Noble into the ropes, Noble comes off and goes for what appears to be a hurricanrana but he comes back down and again has Palumbo’s arm and shoulder in a submission hold. Palumbo rakes Noble’s eyes on the top rope in order to make him break the hold, then Palumbo comes off the ropes and delivers a boot to Noble’s face. Palumbo picks Noble up off the mat, puts Noble over his shoulder and delivers a full throttle, goes for the cover and gets the three count.

Winner

Chuck Palumbo

Once again, Jamie Noble did more in one match than most wrestlers do in several weeks time. Great job by both men in the ring even with the size difference.

After the match, Chuck Palumbo celebrates in the ring and then turns to look at McCool who is still standing outside the ring. Palumbo leaves the ring and is by his motorcycle allowing McCool to enter the ring to check on Noble.

Assistant General Manager Theodore Long is backstage with Vickie and Maryse. Teddy asks Vickie if she remembers their conversation and introduces Maryse.

Next week on Smackdown, MVP must defend his WWE United States Championship title.
