NEWS!
TNA in NYC
And special visitors were in the audience. Tommy Dreamer and
Nunzio were there. Dreamer
apparently arrived with Christian Cage. During the show Team 3D pointed out the
surprise guests and Brother Ray asked them how much trouble they were going to
be in for being there. Source: www.prowrestlingfans.com

NOTE: TNA had a blurb on their website regarding
Dreamer’s appearance in the audience. It has since been removed since Dreamer
is still under contract to WWE.
New Audio Show
TNA has given a weekly audio show to two TNA superfans by the
name of Bill and Doug. The two fans are "YouTube shooters" who have
caused a lot of controversy on the video sharing site with their homemade videos
praising TNA and ripping WWE. If you go on YouTube, there are a number of videos
from angry fans mocking them or calling them out over their controversial
comments. You can see their account, rvdtito4life, at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKxQtHGtp6M,
but they've since pulled their old videos due to the audio show. You can listen
to the first edition of "TNA Addicts" at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnMfovltif0.
It's labeled as a show "Made by fans... for the fans."

Who May Be Out
BG and Kip James are telling people again that the WWE wants
them back. TNA management has told them both they are free to leave as they
wish. Source: ProWrestlingFans
Some people within TNA recently sent out feelers to people in
WWE about taking BG James and Kip James off of their hands. WWE actually said
they would possibly consider BG James (his brother Scott Armstrong is currently
a referee for ECW), but said they want absolutely nothing to do with Kip James.

TNA Goes Live
Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer
Newsletter that TNA will hold their first live iMPACT! on March 21st from the
Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. Apparently the live episode will just be a test
run for the company as they will tape the following week’s edition of iMPACT!
the next night, which will go head-to-head with a Ring of Honor show in the
city. According to Meltzer, TNA is strongly considering taking iMPACT! live
every week but there aren’t any concrete plans as of yet. Of course this will
all be right before WWE’s flagship WrestleMania XXIV pay-per-view.
NOTE: There are other rumors out there indicating that TNA
can’t go live without the blessing of the network. This may push their first live telecast back to April 2008.
iMPACT Rating
Last night's TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.12 (1.1) cable rating,
with an average audience of 1.6 million viewers. The show scored quarter hour
ratings of 1.13, 1.08, 1.05, 1.07, 1.11, 1.13, 1.10, and 1.03. This is right on
point with what the show has been doing as of late. Source: ProWrestlingFans
TNA X Division World Cup
There is talk in TNA about bringing back the X Division World
Cup. The last time they did it they had a lot of problems working with outside
organizations such as New Japan and CMLL. However they are still looking at
working both with CMLL and New Japan to put together the four-man team concept
this year. Source: ProWrestlingFans
Against All Odds
TNA's 2/10 Against All Odds PPV at the Bi-Lo Center in
Greenville, SC drew about 3,500 fans, but with less than 2,000 tickets sold for
the event. The Bi-Lo Center seats about 16,000. Ouch. Source: Gerweck

TNA wrestlers Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, The Motor City
Machineguns, will be returning to Ring of Honor for two shows in April. They
will work April 18th for Ring of Honor in Detroit Michigan and April 19th in
Chicago Ridge, Illinois. When fans began to speculate in the official ROH
message boards that this meant that Ring of Honor had lost their pay-per-view
deal, Gabe Sapolsky posted the following message: ”The PPV deal is not dead.
There is no Samoa Joe coming. Take the announcement for what it is. Alex Shelley
& Chris Sabin are coming back to ROH for one weekend. There is no other
underlying things to it. It is a simple deal that was put together very simply
and quickly. That is all. Stop speculating and enjoy it for what it is, which is
exactly what it appears to be on the surface. Shelley & Sabin are coming to
Detroit and Chicago.”
