NEWS FLASH
Not only has Ron “The Truth” Killings left the TNA
arena for World Wrestling Entertainment, it is our understanding that Wildcat
Chris Harris has just signed a contract with WWE.
Apollo, who was signed by WWE earlier, is in jail in
Puerto Rico due to a domestic battery charge that had been filed by his wife.
Last week with help from Edge, Chavo Guerrero won the ECW
Championship from CM Punk. Replay of the part of the match, including the win.

Joey Styles informs the audience there will be a Championship
Fiesta held tonight in honor of ECW’s new Champion, Chavo Guerrero.

Benjamin eliminated Kane last week on ECW after Kane

Back from commercial break, promo for the Royal Rumble pay
per view. Styles tells the audience that in less than three weeks at the No Way
Out pay per view in Las Vegas, John Cena will face Randy Orton for the WWE
Championship. Cena returned to WWE as the last entrant in the Royal Rumble Match
after being sidelined with an injury last October.
Tazz is in the ring with Colin Delany who has managed to be
beaten up by most of the locker room – ECW and Smackdown. He has faced Shelton
Benjamin, The Big Red Machine Kane, The Great Khali, The World’s Strongest Man
Mark Henry and Big Daddy. V. Tazz
says that Colin doesn’t have to face any of his previous opponents tonight but
he is in a two on one handicap match.

I don’t know where Elijah has been, but he hasn’t been in
the ring very much. He’s good in the ring and I would have thought he should
have gotten himself an ECW title shot.

Royal Rumble where Vickie got her backside in the way and got nailed by the 619.

Back from commercial break, Styles reminds the audience about
the elimination chamber match that will be held in order to decide the number
one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania since
John Cena will be taking his shot for the title at No Way Out. In the
elimination chamber match at No Way Out, it will be Y2J Chris Jericho, John
Bradshaw Layfield, HBK Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, The Game Triple H and Umaga.

The Marachi band for Chavo’s Fiesta is backstage warming
up.

Back from commercial break, promo for John Cena who will be
on Monday Night Raw next week.
Armando Estrada is in the ring with the Marachi band but the
audience is not impressed with the band or the singer. Estrada introduces the
new ECW Champion, Chavo Guerrero. A sign in the audience says “Chavo, ECW C H
U M P”. Chavo comes to the ring dressed in his street clothes with the title
belt around his waist.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t John Morrison
“lose” the title when he was suspended for drug use. Now Chavo Guerrero, who
has recently returned from the same type of suspension has won the title?
Estrada tells Chavo that Edge and Vickie can’t be there because Vickie
was injured after Mysterio hit Vickie with the 619 (the audience vocally
approved) but Edge did send a pre recorded video message to congratulate Chavo
Guerrero on his win. Edge introduces a video of Chavo’s previous matches
including his latest win – over CM Punk for the title. The audience doesn’t
approve of Chavo as the new ECW Champion when he takes the mic to thank Edge.
Chavo tells everyone that Edge will get Rey Mysterio for what he did to Vickie.
Chavo tells the fans he told them so and that he would be the ECW Champion and
that CM Punk is not the future of this business (to the chants of “you suck”
from the audience) and that Punk was nothing but a stepping stone. Unfortunately
for Chavo, CM Punk is a member of the band and he takes it upon himself to take
out Chavo and take the belt away from him. Nice guitar shot, Punk!
Even nicer glue on moustache! Not too crazy about the outfit but it got
him into the ring undetected.
