iMPACT
Rating
This weeks’ iMPACT drew a 1.1 rating.
Who’s
In
TNA is said to be in negotiations with Bob Sapp, who is a
mixed martial artist star in Japan. Source: www.angrymarks.com
You can read more about Sapp here: http://www.centralkickboxing.org/Articles/a_beast_is_made_the_bob_sapp_story.htm
or see his profile here: http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FighterID=4416
And does anyone remember how good old Kurt Angle wants to be
in MMA competition?
Talia Madison, now known as Velvet Sky, has signed a contract
with TNA.
Scott Hall is still in the storylines as of this writing. To
the best of our knowledge, TNA has not signed Hall to a contract.
Sting may be wanted by Dixie Carter of TNA but there is no
word on whether or not he has agreed to a contract extension. He presently is
booked for the TNA shows to be held in Mexico this month but so far nothing
after that.
If you missed iMPACT last week you missed Booker T in action
against Robert Roode. Booker T appears to be in it for the fans and he proved it
in this match.
Who’s
Out
The latest on Junior Fatu is that he is out of TNA for good
– at least for right now.
The
One That Got Away
Report: Sabu's TNA Return Botched, Article By: Ryan Clark
Posted on: November 30, 2007, 2:12pm
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Several weeks ago we reported that Sabu had showed up to a
TNA iMPACT! taping looking for work and was turned away. New details have been
released regarding that situation.
Sabu was scheduled to appear at the TNA iMPACT tapings two
weeks ago but never showed up because he missed his flight.
During a segment when Abyss was getting beat down by Black
Reign and Rellik, Sabu was supposed to run in and save Abyss. Because Sabu
missed his flight, TNA instead had Rhino do the save. Sabu was also scheduled to
work the next night's iMPACT tapings, but by then TNA had already written him
out of storylines and the general feeling was that he wasn't needed anymore.
TNA had long-term plans for Sabu, but it won't be until after
the Turning Point PPV in December that they will consider bringing him in again.
Jeff
Jarrett Update
We still have no return date for Jeff Jarrett. That does not mean he is not working for TNA, he is just not in the ring.
Hurry
it up Jeff! Showtime Eric Young is in need of a friend!
Injuries
Judas Mesias is still out of action after suffering an injury
in September, 2007 working for AAA in Mexico. The last word we have is that he
will not be back in TNA until January 2008.
Tomko suffered a torn muscle injury that required emergency
surgery while he was working in Japan. There has been no definite report on
whether or not he will be able to work the Turning Point pay per view. Latest
rumors are that if Tomko can’t make it, Robert Roode will take his place.
Latin
American Exchange
The feeling within TNA is that the LAX team works very hard
but without Konnan for their promos they won’t be above-average players on TV.
PWInsider reports that there is still tremendous heat between Konnan and TNA,
both sides pretty much hate each other. TNA is looking at the possibility of
making Tomko/AJ vs. LAX into a long running feud. TNA has been holding back on
pushing LAX due to Konan’s absence, despite Homicide and Hernandez being
viewed as one of the company’s hottest acts. Source: ProWrestlingFans.com
I have to say this – while this is probably a true statement, it is just plain crap. Homicide and Hernandez are both superior wrestlers. TNA is making a huge mistake by not using the talent they have available! Instead of showcasing talent such as LAX, they continue to run out and hire more wrestlers. I’m a Konnan fan, but having Konnan ringside did not make Homicide and Hernandez and there is no reason they should be left out of the TNA ring.
Please
check the TNA Talent Section listed below and this site's Indy News Bytes for
information regarding scheduled Indy appearances for Homicide and Hernandez.
Gail
Kim Makes Forbes Magazine
Forbes Magazine named Gail Kim one of the most eligible
bachelorettes in the Tampa, FL area. Before all you boys go running to
Gail’s door to propose, take a self defense course first – you’ll need it!

TNA
Roster Update
TNA's official website has added profiles on Booker T,
Sharmell and Rellik. Havoc's profile has been changed to Johnny Devine. The site
has yet to add profiles on Scott Hall, ODB, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.
This is so NOT interesting, but I will add it for the sake
of TNA News: Kurt Angle, Tomko, and A.J. Styles are now a group known as The
Angle Alliance. Source: www.prowrestlingfans.com
Unfortunately for Tomko and AJ, they won’t do as great a job with this as
they did with the Christian Coalition.
Geez
Louise, Who Thinks This Stuff Up?
The Christy Hemme/Lance Hoyt strife and Jackie Moore/James
Storm strife have been put on hold because they already have the Roode/Miss
Brooks strife and will probably go back to the Kurt and Karen Angle strife.

Shane
Sewell Referee or Wrestler?
We found reports of “Glamour
Boy Shane” wrestling in some Indy events recently.
It appears he hasn’t hung up those wrestling trunks in favor of a
striped shirt – at least not yet!
Now we have to wonder why TNA hasn’t tried to get the
Glamour Boy back in the ring as a wrestler? I’m certain those women wrestlers
enjoy having him around to ref a match but we fans would enjoy seeing him in
wrestling action!
Check this site’s Indy News Bytes for further
information on TNA talent in Indy action!
