WWF syndication replaced WCW Worldwide this weekend in markets where there was no WWF programming. In the case of another station in the market carrying WWF Jakked and WWF Metal, wrestling was dropped from the lineup altogether. Locally, WUPN-TV 48 in Greensboro dropped wrestling, yielding to WTWB-TV 20, which airs Jakked and Metal. Charlotte's WFVT-TV 55 dropped WCW Worldwide and now airs WWF Jakked. The Charlotte market previously aired no WWF syndication.
- HHG Corporation, operating as ECW, filed bankruptcy papers yesterday in NJ. ECW is $ 6 million in debt.
- Sat XFL on NBC: LA 24, SF 0..... Memphis 16, LV 3.
- XFL on Saturday night did a 1.7 for NBC. In comparison, CBS, ABC and FOX shows all scored 6.0 or higher.
- NWA Ohio-W Va's Rocky Reynolds won the NWA Jr Title last night in Pennsboro, W. V.
