- Rey Mysterio, Jr debuts on WWE Smackdown next week, going against Chavo Guerrero, Jr. Also booked for Smackdown is Chris Jericho vs Edge.
- Eric Bischoff, in an interview on Okla City's KATT: says that most were not pleased to see him return to TV... alludes that he will get booking control... despises Vince Russo, but does not hold him responsible for the demise of WCW... calls Brock Lesnar more intimidating than Goldberg.
- The U.K. equivalent of WOW Mag, POW, will cease publication, according to Senior Editor Bill Apter. He claims to have another deal in the works.
- WWE has dropped Les Thatcher's Heartland Wrestling Association as a developmental territory. The operations now focus on Jim Cornette's Ohio Valley Wrestling. Released in the deal: Mike Sanders... EZ Money... Race Steele... Jason Sugarman.
- Mark Ashford Smith, aka Chris Champion of NWA Main Event has suffered a stroke. He is in critical condition in a Shelbyville, Tn hospital. Smith wrestled as Yoshi Kwan in WCW.
- The match between John Cena and Chris Jericho has been pulled from the WWE Vengeance lineup.
